Every year, from November to January, whale sharks gather in the warm waters of the Gulf of Tadjoura. This tour gives you the chance to swim and snorkel next to Whale Sharks in their natural home. No diving experience is needed, and all equipment is provided.
In partnership with trusted local experts, we offer a custom program for small or large groups looking to swim, snorkel, or dive alongside these amazing animals.
Djibouti Fishing Point, Ras Korali
Departure is from the Fishing Point in Djibouti. From here, we head to Ras Korali, one of the best areas for whale shark sightings.
Once we reach the spot, you’ll have 45–60 minutes to swim or snorkel alongside the whale sharks.
Enjoy lunch on the boat, along with access to snorkel or diving equipment.
After a full day at sea, we return to Djibouti City’s Fishing Point.

07:30 – 17:00 (approximate time)
Operated on big boats. Requires minimum number of participants.
Private Tours (any day):
08:00 – 12:00
Operated on small skiffs. Ideal for small groups or flexible schedules.

Whale sharks are wild animals, and sightings are not guaranteed, even during peak season.
