Mogadishu City & Lido Beach
Upon arrival at Aden Adde International Airport you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in and a short briefing.
After freshening up, begin exploring Mogadishu with visits to Hamarweyne Market and Mogadishu Mall, where you can experience local life, traditional shops and cafés serving Somali tea and coffee. Continue to Lido Beach along the Indian Ocean, one of the city’s most popular gathering places, where locals relax, swim and enjoy boat rides along the coastline.
Later, drive through the historic Shangani district, known for its old architecture and important landmarks including Mogadishu Cathedral and Arba’a Rukun Mosque. Stop at Daljirka Dahsoon (Monument of the Unknown Soldier), an important symbol of Somalia’s independence, before ending the day with a visit to Ali Jimcale Mosque and overnight stay in Mogadishu.

After breakfast, begin the day at the bustling Mogadishu Fish Market, where fishermen bring in their daily catch from the Indian Ocean. Continue to the historic Italian Lighthouse and the ruins of Othman Castle overlooking the ocean before exploring the old neighborhoods of Hamarweyne and Shangani, where coral-stone buildings and narrow streets reflect Mogadishu’s rich past.
Visit the National Theatre for a traditional folklore performance featuring Somali music and dance, then stop at the Hawo Tako Statue and the 14 October Memorial, dedicated to the victims of the 2017 bombing. Experience local life at the money exchange market and camel camps before heading toward Jazeera Lake or Abaydhaxan Beach for tea, coastal views and sunset by the Indian Ocean. End the day with a visit to the nearby sand dunes before returning to your hotel in Mogadishu.
